Based out of St. Augustine, Florida, Whetstone has been building chocolate machines since 1979. Starting with our first machine, a nut cluster depositor, we have taken great steps to ensure that our name remains a respected and trusted one in the industry. We have collaborated with the largest worldwide chocolate manufacturers to make highly difficult and complex chocolate articles. There are hundreds of our machines operating in over 40 countries worldwide.

Custom solutions
We can design custom equipment to manufacture unique products. We model systems using SolidWorks 3D software and transfer models directly into CAM systems for CNC milling, turning, laser cutting and bending. We supplement our in-house CNC capabilities by working closely with outside machining, fabricating, extruding and plastics vendors. We have extensive robotic and servo application experience and can integrate other manufacturer’s equipment into a “turn key” solution, often designing and manufacturing the “missing piece” that makes the entire line work.

We have been using and building chocolate cold press technology since 1996. With millions of articles produced using a variety of tools and process variations, we have set about to simplify the technology, lower the tooling costs, and reduce operating cost. This revolutionary machine design has been internally proven with millions of cycles of operation in our own factory.
We recently created the first standalone cold press machine in the world with XPRESS technology.

We have been internally developing the most advanced chocolate molding system ever seen or produced in the world. Our goal is to make every existing chocolate molding line obsolete. We will accomplish this in 2016 by debuting the most sanitary, simple, and modular chocolate molding plant ever conceived. 2016 will be the year of XSAN (next generation sanitary) chocolate molding line.
